This remarkable school offered advanced classes utilizing college textbooks in Organic Chemistry, quantitative and qualitative analysis, advanced mathematics and 3 semesters of physics. Many people ask why he became a Foot & Ankle Surgeon. He was greatly influenced by the compassion of his mother a registered nurse, who after her discharge from the Army Nurse Corps in WW II practiced nursing at many levels and ended her career as a director of nursing. He was also influenced by his older brother, Edward who is also an accomplished podiatric surgeon and has served as chief of Podiatric Medicine at 6 different hospitals in the metropolitan Detroit area. Dr. Gordon attended college at Michigan State University and Wayne State University. He attended Medical School at Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
